General Information

Camp Cheatham Hill is a privately owned business and carries its own insurance policies. Camp Cheatham Hill is not affiliated with Cheatham Hill Elementary School or Cobb County School District.

Camp Cheatham Hill runs consecutively during the summer months of June and July (start and end dates vary based on the Cobb County School District Calendar). Camp Cheatham Hill is open to the general public (campers do not have to attend Cheatham Hill Elementary School). Any Elementary aged child (rising kindergarten through exiting 5th grade) is welcome to attend our camp.

 

There is a $35 non-refundable registration fee. The registration fee is annual and must be paid on or before the first day your child attends camp for the summer session. ALL campers are required to pay this fee. Camp registration forms are available on this website. You may turn in the registration forms and fee the first day your child attends camp (they are not required to be sent ahead of time). We have space available and overstaff to accommodate any amount of campers!

Summer Camp will be held at Smitha Middle School (Monday through Thursday).  Camp is closed on Fridays during the summer season due to the fact that Cobb County School District operates on a 4-day work week during the summer months.

Pricing

​$45 - Full Day (over 4 hours)

$40 - Half Day (any 4 hour block)

$35 - Annual Registration Fee

A half day is any consecutive 4 hour block of time. A full day is any time frame over 4 hours.

​

All campers must pay the annual $35 registration fee on or before their first day of summer camp. 

​

We accept the following forms of payment: CASH or CHECK ONLY.

Camp is open from 7am-5pm (courtesy 1 hour until 6pm is free). 

​

Campers picked up after 6pm will be charged an additional $1 per minute.

​

A $5 sibling discount will apply to families with multiple children attending camp. 
This discount only applies to full day campers.  No discounts for half day. 
The breakdown is as follows:

2 siblings:  1st child $45; 2nd child $40

3 siblings:  1st child $45; 2nd child $40; 3rd child $35

Location

Summer Camp is held at Smitha Middle School, 2025 Powder Springs Rd SW, Marietta, GA 30064.

Camp hours are from 7am-5pm. We have a courtesy hour until 6pm. ALL CAMPERS MUST BE PICKED UP BY 6PM. Additional charges will apply if child is not picked up by 6pm.

Daily Schedule

 Camp is open from 7AM to 6PM.  During check in (7:00 – 9:00) campers are allowed free-time and may bring any items from home to play with, including devices.  Once check in ends, campers put all their personal belongings away and our camp day begins around 9:15AM.  Camp ends at 4:30PM.  Campers are then brought to the gym and allowed free time until they are picked up!

A typical day of camp consists of several different morning rotations, afternoon rotations and daily “in-house field trips” *In house field trips may include an additional charge*   The morning and afternoon rotations include a large variety of activities such as arts/crafts, technology, gym games, playground time, fun with food, music & movement, manipulatives & learning centers, guided art, where in the world is, piano keyboards, icebreakers, etc...   We have a designated “water day” each week in which we hire a company to bring water inflatables for the kids to enjoy!  We also allow campers to bring water toys from home on water day..  Kids should bring bathing suit, towel and sunscreen on water day!!  There are NO “off campus” field trips. All activities, visitors, events, etc…will take place on campus for the campers to enjoy.  We will post a calendar of events and update it regularly as activities are scheduled!

Lunch & Snacks

Campers are required to bring their own lunch and drink daily.  We offer the option to purchase lunch for $6 per day. Lunch is ordered from various restaurants in the area.  The daily lunch menu is posted on the Calendar of Events.  Camp provides afternoon snack free of charge.  If your child would like more snack than what is provided, feel free to send extra snack in for them to eat.  Please remember to send a water bottle daily with your camper!

Drop Off & Pick Up

Camp drop-off and pick-up is located at the Smitha Middle School theater entrance (to the left of the main entrance).

Be prepared to show ID at pick-up until we know you!​

Payments, Credits & Discounts

 We accept the following forms of payment:  CASH or CHECK or ONLY. Checks can be made payable to Camp Cheatham Hill 2

 

You will receive tuition credit for any day(s) paid for in advance if your child is absent.  The credit lasts forever and can be used anytime.  Credits are transferable to siblings.
