Camp Cheatham Hill is a privately owned business and carries its own insurance policies. It is not affiliated with Cheatham Hill Elementary or the Cobb County School District.
Camp Cheatham Hill runs consecutively during the summer months of June and July (start date and end date change based on Cobb Co. School Calendar). We are also open during the extended breaks (Fall Break, Thanksgiving, Winter Holidays and Spring Break). Camp Cheatham Hill is open to the general public (campers do not have to attend Cheatham Hill Elementary School). Any ELEMENTARY aged child (entering kindergarten thru exiting 5th grade) is welcome to attend our camp!
There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee. The registration fee is annual and must be paid on or before the first day your child attends camp for the summer session. All campers are required to pay this fee. Once the fee is paid your child is able to attend all camps (and camp related events) throughout the school year (from June thru May). Camp registration forms (4 of them) may be downloaded from the website. You may turn in the registration forms and fee the first day your child attends camp (you do not have to send them in ahead of time). We have plenty of space available and overstaff to accommodate any amount of campers!
Camp will be held at Cheatham Hill Elementary School during all breaks and summer. Camp will be closed on Fridays during the summer season due to the fact Cobb County Schools operate on a 4 day work week during the summer months.
CAMP PRICING/TUITION: $40 full day. $30 half day. Camp is open from 7AM to 6PM. A half day is any consecutive 4hr block of time. A full day is anything over 4 hours. Campers picked up after 6PM will be charged an additional $1 per minute.
A typical day of camp consists of 5 different morning rotations and 4 afternoon rotations. The rotations include arts/crafts, computer lab, gym, academic and outside. There is a mandatory math/reading session right after lunch in which campers are required to work on these academic areas. Additionally, we have a designated “water day” each week in which kids can bring water toys, sprinklers etc…We also have daily activities/entertainment for the campers. There are NO “off campus” field trips. All activities, visitors, events, etc…will take place on campus for the campers to enjoy. Kids should bring bathing suit, towel and sunscreen on water day!!
Campers are required to bring their own lunch and drink each day. Gatorade drinks are available to purchase for $1. Campers have the option to purchase lunches daily. The cost of lunch is $5. We order from various restaurants in the area to provide a different lunch option each day.
Camp drop-off and pick-up is located at the Irwin Rd. entrance of Cheatham Hill Elementary School (this is the bus port area). There will be signs posted to guide you.
Camp hours are from 7AM – 6PM. ALL CAMPERS MUST BE PICKED UP 6 PM!!!
